Yandex.Taxi driverless car makes 1st trip from Moscow to Kazan
MOSCOW, Jun 22 (PRIME) -- A self-driving car of Russian online taxi hailing service Yandex.Taxi has made the first autonomous trip of 789 kilometers from Moscow to Kazan, on the Volga, within 11 hours, the company said on Friday in a statement.
“During the ride, the prototype made only several stops to refill. An experienced research-pilot was at the wheel all the time who watched the road and controlled the vehicle. It rained heavily on part of the route,” Yandex.Taxi said.
